I painted this at a local lake one evening while my son fished. I needed to set my mind free from a day of frustration and let it do what it does best, make sense of my fatigue and tumultuous feelings with a paintbrush. The clouds were hurrying by, and the sun only lasted about half an hour before darkness (but a pleasant, peaceful darkness) overcame it.
