Why You’ll Want a Mini Pet Portrait
My little Baudelaire inspired it all.
We had to say goodbye to our mini-dachshund, Baudelaire, 2 1/2 years ago.
He was such a loveable part of our family for so long, that I wanted to make a piece of art to honor him and help me hold those memories close.
After looking through our photos, I chose a picture of Baudelaire looking very gentlemanly, got out my watercolors, and began to paint. I did my best to reveal the softness of his eyes, something photos aren’t so great at capturing.
The finished mini-portrait is now on our bedroom bookcase where I see it every morning and every evening. It’s a small, elegant painting of him displayed next to his collar and ashes.

How to Order
Contact me to discuss time/scheduling and let me know to expect photos and short videos (optional) of the animal friend you want painted, and make sure that we have a way to communicate effectively via email, phone/text or Messenger.
Email the images and any details, noting favorite images etc. to: Thimgan@ThimganHaydenStudio.com and I will confirm receipt.
I will review the pictures and confirm with you the primary pose and reference that I plan to use as well as any scheduling plans.
I’ll email or text you a picture of it when it’s nearly finished so that you can make sure it’s looking how you want. If you’d like me to add the pet’s name in tiny lettering just under the animal, be sure and let me know.
I will sign the back of the painting so it doesn’t have the distraction of my name on the front.
This is what the process looks like. You send me photos, I choose one and draw, then paint it. You approve it, pay, and I package it carefully and ship it with tracking.
Pricing & Payment Information
The current total price is $150 (+6% sales tax if you’re in Michigan) comes ready-to-frame in common size. Want it framed in a standard frame? $225
Once I see the photo references you email me or message me, and I can verify they’re clear enough to work from, you may be asked to pay a $75 deposit.

After you approve the finished Artwork, you will be invoiced for the $75 balance and I’ll carefully pack and ship your painting.
