This lushious pear painting is part of a collection I’m working on which I’m calling my Cezanne inspired series.
After a visit to the Cezanne exhibit in Chicago, I’ve been excited to get more design, thicker paint, and flattened space into these select pieces. And just for visual fun, I’m playing with the concept of things (so far it’s fruit) cascading toward us on colorful cloths. I’ve always enjoyed painting fabrics and glass, so they tend to be in many still lifes of mine.
