THE STORY

This painting was made when I lived in Maine, and was inspired by an Emily Dickenson poem where she talks about the sort of church she was comfortable in, nature. That’s where she felt closest to the Divine. This won my first Best in Show ever received in a state or regional art show back in 1996… Enjoy a print that (in style) points back to one of my favorite painters, Mary Cassatt.
