A joyous, dashingly impressionistic peony oil sketch done June 2023 painted outside in our garden.
STORY
I found shade from the hot, hot sun under a little viburnum bush in my backyard and painted a little cluster of peonies. Since “our” cardinal family has a nest in the top of that bush, I had to paint quickly because the cardinal mother was extremely unhappy about me being that near her nesting bush!
